No Vote Left Behind began as a single rock show designed to raise money for the Democratic National Committee. But when organizers, Natasha George and Chris Olson, began hitting up their music industry friends for help, it became apparent that one show was not going to be nearly enough to accommodate all the people wanting to take part. George Bush, it seemed, was not well liked in the music community. (Yes, that’s a sarcastic understatement.) In fact, so many musicians, club owners, publicists, promoters, label people and fans felt so passionately about getting Mr. Bush out of office that No Vote Left Behind has grown into a four-day music festival, taking place in all of your favorite clubs and music venues throughout Seattle. No Vote Left Behind will also be putting on a number of events leading up to the festival including: A rock star garage sale (imagine yourself as the proud owner of Mark Arm's toaster). A karaoke Gong Show, where you can sing karaoke with the threat of being gonged by some of Seattle’s local celebrities. And silent auctions featuring all kinds of music industry shwag. Thanks to George Bush, and how badly the music community wants him out of office, No Vote Left Behind has been able to draw a number of big name acts, and its impressive line-up continues to grow so keep checking the web site for new acts and upcoming events. All of the funds raised at the festival will be used for the sole purpose of replacing George Bush and his cronies.
